From your first table to the reception entrance, here’s how VowSeat works.
What exactly does VowSeat do?
VowSeat helps you build your reception tables, assign guests, and create one QR code for the wedding. Guests scan it, enter the private wedding code, and search their name to find their table.
Do my guests need to download an app or create an account?
No. Guests simply scan the QR code with their phone camera and open the link in their browser. Only the couple needs a VowSeat account to manage the seating plan.
How does the wedding-day QR code work?
After your chart is ready, VowSeat creates a downloadable QR code. Print or display it near the reception entrance. Guests scan it, enter your private code, and type their name to see their assigned table.
Can I change someone’s table after I’ve shared the QR code?
Yes. Keep the same QR code and update the assignment in your planner. Once your changes are saved, guests will receive the latest table assignment when they search.
Does VowSeat assign an exact chair or a table?
VowSeat currently assigns each guest to a table, not a specific chair. You can name tables with numbers, places, flowers, or any theme that fits your wedding.
Can I make more than one seating-chart version?
The Signature and Luxury packages include multiple seating drafts, so you can compare options before choosing your final arrangement.
Can I upload my guest list instead of entering every name?
Yes. Signature and Luxury include CSV guest-list import. You can also add, move, or remove guests individually inside the planner.
How many guests can I add?
Classic supports up to 100 guests, Signature up to 250 guests, and Luxury up to 500 guests.
Is the price monthly?
No subscription. Each package is a one-time payment for one wedding: $29 for Classic, $49 for Signature, or $69 for Luxury.
Is my wedding seating chart private?
Your planning account uses a secure email sign-in link. Your guest page can also be protected with a private wedding code, so you decide who can access the seat finder.
Will guests see my entire guest list?
No. The guest experience is designed to return the matching guest’s table assignment. It does not display the complete guest list.
Can guests use VowSeat in Spanish?
Yes. The guest seat-finder can switch between English and Spanish directly from the wedding page.
Can I add a photo of us?
Yes. Add a photo of you and your partner to personalize both your planner and the welcome guests see when they use the seat finder.
What if a guest cannot find their name?
Ask them to enter their name as it appears on the guest list. You can quickly review the spelling and assignment in your planner, make a correction, and save it without replacing the QR code.
Does VowSeat need internet access at the venue?
Yes. The couple and guests need an internet connection to load current seating information. As a wedding-day backup, we recommend bringing a printed copy of the final chart.
